Macron support in WYSIWYG Character Map
Just in time for Mâori Language Day on 14 September, we’re adding support for macronised vowels in the MySource Matrix WYSIWYG editor.
This makes it really easy to write correctly macronised Mâori text on websites running on MySource Matrix. To add a macronised vowel, the web editor simply selects from a drop down list in the WYSIWYG Character Map.
The new Character Map with the macron vowel characters will be included in and from versions 3.22.4 stable and 3.24.0 stable.
Ernst & Young Entrepreneur award for JP
Squiz group MD, Sydney-based John-Paul Syriatowicz (‘JP’ for short), has won Australia’s Eastern Region (NSW + ACT) award for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year, in the Technology and Emerging Industries category.
The award recognises JP’s leadership in Squiz’s international success: “Today, Squiz is one the world’s largest web content management vendors, with 170 staff across five countries. The company is the creator of MySource, described by Gartner as one of the world’s top five open source content management systems.”
Good luck to JP for the national awards.
