2010 Squiz International User Conference.

The Squiz International User Conference has grown to three days, and an exciting new format.

Day 1 – Squiz Conference. Learn how to deliver the optimum Squiz driven website and intranet solutions: sessions on virtualization, analytics, accessibility, scalability, distributed authoring and social networking.

Day 2 – Squiz CMS and Funnelback Search Training. Learn how to get the most out of the world’s most flexible CMS with modules on Squiz Analytics, Squiz Easy Edit Suite (EES), Squiz Search, W3C Mobile Design, Flexibility, Mashups and Web 2.0 personalisation.

Day 3 – Funnelback Search Conference. Learn how to help your users find the right information faster.

The Conference includes international case studies, including four NZ case studies confirmed so far.

Squiz NZ now certified to Gold Enviro-Mark level

Enviro-mark Gold Level Certification Badge.

Squiz NZ has successfully passed the Silver and Gold Levels of Enviro-Mark certification, and is now Enviro-Mark NZ Gold certified.

The Enviro-Mark certification programme helps organisations develop and implement an environmental management system (EMS). Squiz NZ participated through Greater Wellington’s eMission programme

We are next setting our sights on Platinum and Diamond levels, as a prequel to ISO14001.

The blog will still keep you up with the latest features, adding more in-depth information. Without sacrificing the technical detail, the blog also contains more examples and images to provide business level information.

South Island Users Group

South Island NZ.

Last month saw the first meeting of the South Island MySource Matrix Users Group hosted at Selwyn District Council.

Users from a variety of industries shared functionality they’d developed recently, several morphing into tutorials on the MySource Matrix community site.

We’re happy to support Squiz product user groups, so if you’re interested in starting a user group for your industry or location please feel free to contact Kathy Olsen to discuss in more detail.

New Training Course for October: MySource Mini Fundamentals (MINI 101)

MySource Mini is the revolutionary next generation WCMS from Squiz and we are delighted to announce a new training course to accompany the latest version release.

MINI 101 – MySource Mini Fundamentals will teach users the basics of how to use the Administration Interface of MySource Mini WCMS.

This one-day course will focus on how to perform fundamental, day-to-day tasks such as creating pages and basic content, it also introduces more complex features of MySource Mini such as workflow, track changes and versioning.

By the end of this course participants will be able to:

  • Create pages and files
  • Add basic content to a page
  • Insert links and images
  • Insert images, movies and image galleries into pages
  • Enable track changes and approve and reject changes
  • Add metadata
  • Use the Preview, Edit, Settings and Versioning modes
  • Understand the normal publishing process
  • Understand the workflow approval process
  • Use the help desk

Joel Dalit.

Joel Dalit joins us on our Help Desk from a similar role at Datacom. Joel completed his degree in Information Systems at Victoria University.
