Squiz NZ Newsletter May 2010
Squiz is going 100% GPL from Version 3.28+ of MySource Matrix
The big news this month was the announcement on May 17 that all software products produced by Squiz Labs will now be entirely GPL.
This means that all versions of MySource Matrix from version 3.28 onwards will be 100% GPL (except for system content, Squiz infrastructure and third party products).
MySource Matrix users do not need to take any action in response to this announcement though as this change does not affect any current client installations or implementations and will only take effect upon upgrading to version 3.28+ of MySource Matrix.
All modules pre v3.28 are still SSV and do not convert to GPL until a user upgrades to v3.28.

New eCommerce Payment Gateway
In addition to the payment gateways already available in MySource Matrix (such as the DPS payment gateway for credit card transactions), we have now added a connection to the Ubiquity Web Service for uTransact.
uTransact from Ubiquity is used by local councils and corporations as a platform for credit card-enabled e-commerce solutions, allowing them to utilise uTransact’s financial reconciliation, security, workflow and reporting framework.
